Follow these five golden rules to maintain optimum health.

Proper Food

Poor diet and sedentary lifestyle lead to obesity, which is a really huge problem in every country. In fact, there are lots of books about diets and how to lose weight, burn calories, prevent diabetes, etc. But the best diet is the one that offers a balance of nutrients, which are measured by calorie intake. So, why not eat more fruit and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat milk products, lean protein; and consume less fat, sugars, refined grains, sodium, dietary cholesterol and alcohol? Of course, it’s rather difficult to follow all those guidelines in day-to-day life. But the key thing here is “Moderation In All Things.” Better eat a variety of foods than over-eat. How to stay healthy with your diet in the simplest way? Eat good tasty breakfast every day. Finally, eat smaller quantities of all 3 main meals.

Water

This is the drink of the wise. Everybody should know that water is fundamental and involved in every body function: circulation, digestion, absorption, transmission and so more. Moreover, water eliminates waste products through urination, defecation, sweating, tears and mucus. Water is also the best form for ingesting. In a word, drink at least 8 glasses of water every day and generally improve your sense of health!

Physical Activity

After having balanced the diet and calorie intake, you need balancing your calorie expenditure. A good focus is “Calories In & Calories Out”. That means your weight will drop, if you burn more calories than consume. But if you consume more calories than you actually burn, your weight will increase. Generally, there are various exercise regimens. However, the most common advice is to shut off TV, put away electronic games, and just get out and do something. Do not rush to full throttle from a sedentary life; just start slow with some suitable exercise regimen. Perhaps, the simplest exercise is walking and moving. They strengthen your heart and increase bone density.

Full-Value Sleep

After right eating and exercising, your next step is good sleep, about 8 hours per night. What to say, sleep is the greatest cure. During the process, your body recovers and your immune system improves. According to different surveys, people, who sleep less, have high death rates! So, stop cheating your sleep.
